We recently discussed how you can tell a lot about a person's personality by the pyjamas they wear, but can the same be said for your sleeping position?
Whether you lie in the log position, spread out like a starfish or snuggle in the fetal position, your sleeping pose could reveal more about your personality than you think.
We asked our social community to reveal their sleeping positions and gave them our take on what this says about them.
The fetal position
One of the most popular sleeping positions, the fetal position, is defined by a person who sleeps curled up like a baby. To some it may appear uncomfortable, but those who sleep in this position are described as having a tough exterior, whilst on the inside they are more the shy and sensitive type.
The log position
Although this position sounds amusing, it is thought typical of those who enjoy the best night's sleep, therefore not moving an inch. Not only are log sleepers thought to be very sociable but they are known for being extremely trusting, which can sometimes lead to them being gullible.
The thought alone sounds appealing, being able to spread out in a starfish-like position with the bed all to yourself. However, the starfish is in fact the least preferred sleep style as it often means you're sleeping alone. People who prefer this style tend to be very loyal friends, and make their friends a huge priority in their lives.
The pillow hugger
The position says it all, pillow huggers place high importance on the bonds in their lives, whether they be with friends, family or partners. They can be known to be people-pleasers or a hopeless romantics but they need to take some time to focus and make themselves the priority more often.
The space hogger
We've all experienced sharing a bed with a space hogger, whether it be a friend, family member or your other half. Unsurprisingly, whoever it is sprawling across the bed and denying the other person any space to sleep is considered a little selfish!
As the title describes, these sleepers enjoy resting on their stomach, with their head turned to either side and hands near their pillow. This suggests the sleeper has a free, easy-going personality and can be considered as a free spirited type. Secretly these sleepers are nervous on the inside and can sometimes appear as over-sensitive.
