Q : My teenage son is 6ft 3in at the moment and still growing! A
double bed would fit easily in his room whereas a kingsize would be
a fairly tight squeeze. What would you advise?

A : As a general rule of thumb, a bed should be around 10cm (4")
longer than the tallest person sleeping in the bed to allow plenty
of leg room, so it is worth considering a king size bed which
offers 10cm of additional length than a standard double, even if it
is a tight fit in the room.
