This week it was revealed that the typical day in the life of a British pet involves eating breakfast at 7.43am, taking naps and having over an hour of cuddles.

The study by pet food brand IAMS found that pets indulge in at least five naps per day and more than half (54 per cent) of pets slumber in their owner's bed or on the family sofa.

As hard as it may be sometimes to resist those puppy dog eyes, Silentnight's sleep expert, Dr Nerina Ramlakhan, advises that pet owners should avoid sharing a bed with their furry friends, as it can cause both allergies and disturbances when sleeping.

The IAMS study found that 76% of owners treat their pet as if it were their own child, and it's no secret that us Brits love to treat our pets.

Silentnight came up with the ultimate solution to make sure pets can get a great night sleep, by creating pet beds that are so good they are tested on humans. The collection of beds uses special fibre technology that has never been seen before in pet beds, and ensures that even the fluffiest of dogs won't overheat: the beds offer micro-climate filling, thereby allowing breathability.

Promising the same high quality that is found in human beds, the Silentnight night dog beds mean pooches can have as many luxury naps as they need - and we no longer feel guilty for pushing our pets out when it comes to bedtime.
