On the evening of 29th July, crowds
gathered at Lancashire County Cricket Club to watch the Natwest T20
Blast Match between Lancashire Lightning and Birmingham Bears. The
game saw Lancashire Lightning victorious on home turf, and what
better way to watch the game than from the best seat in the
house?

Thanks to our competition with Heart Radio, avid
cricket fan John Lowe got to do just that. After being entered for
the competition secretly by his mum, John and three friends won the
opportunity to watch the game from a Silentnight bed, live and
pitch-side at Emirates Old Trafford. John said, 'I was really happy
to find out I was the lucky winner. I'm a huge cricket fan, and
it's great to see Lancashire win whilst sitting in the best seat in
the house'. John and friends enjoyed a great evening from the
comfort of their pop-up bedroom; being waited on by the Silentnight
team and wearing complimentary dressing gowns, despite the
sunshine.

Our lucky winners were not the only VIPs to enjoy the
evening's activities, as Silentnight's very own loveable mascot
Hippo made a special appearance. During the interval, he made his
way through the family stand, greeting families and giving away
free pillows to the crowd.

Silentnight's Marketing Director Nick Booth said:
"The pop-up bedroom certainly got a lot of attention on the night
and it was great to see our winners enjoying the match from the
comfort of one of our beds. At Silentnight, we're very proud of our
Lancashire roots and we're looking forward to our next venture with
the Club."
