Dedicated to sleep. Committed to the environment

For a brighter future

There are few things more important than sleep, but our environment is one of them. That’s why we’re making every part of our business more sustainable, from being totally carbon neutral to our zero-to-landfill pledge.

Meet our ambassador,
Lucy Siegle

Lucy Siegle is an eco-lifestyle expert and journalist who has written for The Guardian, reports on the BBC’s One Show and penned Turning the Tide on Plastic – a powerful scrutiny of the damaging effects of single-use plastic. Lucy was nominated for the Orwell Prize in 2012.

Leading the way in sustainability

We’re incredibly proud to have received independent validation of our position as a carbon neutral business.

This wonderful achievement is the result of an unwavering commitment to our environment. Through ethical business practices and sustainable product development, we’ve been able to evolve our business in a way that benefits the environment around us.

What does it mean to be carbon neutral? Basically, every gram per kilometre (g/km) of carbon dioxide we emit is offset by the amount of carbon we save through renewable energy projects and energy efficiency projects. In addition to offsetting our emissions we also reduced our carbon output by 17.5% last year. This way, we put back-into our environment what we’ve taken away.

We have partnered with the UK’s leading marine charity, the Marine Conservation Society (MCS).

As part of the partnership, we’ve pledged financial support to the Marine Conservation Society to ensure our seas are healthy, pollution-free and protected, while maintaining the breath-taking beauty of our enriched coastlines.

As well as financial backing, our staff will be getting involved with the charity’s wider initiatives, such as beach cleans, to protect our seas and the fascinating creatures that live beneath.

The Marine Conservation Society continues to do fantastic and crucial work across the UK. Last year alone, 568,000 pieces of litter were removed from our coasts as a result of MCS campaigns. Find out how you can support the Marine Conservation Society.

Eco-friendly products

We’re incredibly proud to have been awarded the Furniture Makers’ Company Sustainability Award for 2017 and 2018.

We’re delighted that our commitment to social, economic and environmental sustainability has been recognised by this prestigious independent award.

Through eco-friendly product development, progressive work practices and our partnership with the Marine Conservation Society, we’re helping our world become a greener and happier place to live and work.
