Peter Andre believes bedtime reading is key for kids

Peter Andre believes bedtime reading is key for kids The pop star, children's author and parent claims that reading to his children enables them to wake up "feeling clear" and is much better than letting them play computer games.

Andre teamed up with Boris Johnson earlier this week to launch the Mayor of London's new Love Libraries scheme, which is intended to help local communities take advantage of their local library's facilities.

Investment of £100,000 will be used to recruit new people to help with a range of library services, including at Shepherd's Bush Library, where Andre and Mr Johnson visited to announce the scheme.

Andre explained: "That last 15 minutes before children go to sleep, that's what they're going to remember through the night. That's why it's bad if they've been playing a video game or something like that.

"That's why reading's so important, I'm a strong believer in that."
