Excessive snorers may have sleep apnoea

Individuals who snore excessively as they lie on their mattress may be suffering from sleep apnoea without realising it, an expert has said.
Psychologist Dorothy Buck explained that this will not be the case for everyone, but they should get their symptoms checked out by a medical professional just to be sure.
She warned that leaving obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) undiagnosed can increase a person's chances of suffering from hypertension, heart attack and stroke, along with other major health conditions.
Clinician and researcher Gary Wittert, head of medicine at the University of Adelaide, warned that there are other conditions that could arise, reports the Australian.
"If you become obese, for whatever reason, you're more likely to have OSA, and then if you've got OSA, it's much harder to lose weight," he explained.
An anti-snoring polar bear was recently unveiled in Japan, which encourages snorers to turn over when they are at risk of waking up their partner.
