Serving soldier reads to his daughter at bedtime

Reading a story to a child before they go to bed is not uncommon - unless, of course, they are several thousand miles away.
A video has been posted on YouTube showing a two-year-old being read Farmer Mickey by her father, who is currently serving on an overseas tour.
Appearing from his military base, the man was obviously keen to still be involved in his daughter's bedtime routine, so turned to technology to help him achieve this.
Once the story has finished, the soldier asks the child whether he can have a hug and she leans forward before embracing the screen.
Hugh Jackman recently revealed in an interview with Entertainmentwise that he used the script to his latest film Real Steel as bedtime reading for his son.
He made the decision after being told he would meet the film's director much sooner than he had thought.
