Could yoga promote better sleep?

Could yoga promote better sleep? There are many ways in which people believe it is possible to induce sleep, but yoga could be one of the more effective methods.

Yoga is designed to free the mind of any stress or worry, while also engaging the body in gentle exercise.

Deep breathing systems help the body enter into a more restful state, therefore making it easier for the individual to doze off to sleep after they get into bed.

The trick is not to overdo it and to build up the body to cope with increasingly complicated moves; over-exertion at the start can make it more difficult to rest later in the evening.

It is also important to make sure the body is fully warmed up before trying out yoga positions, otherwise all sorts of pains could surface.

In recent weeks, a new app known as Sleep Manager was launched by Zeo in order to give people accurate information on just how well they are resting.
