Bed assessor recruited by Premier Inn
11/10/2011
Premier Inn is going to great lengths to ensure its rooms are comfortable for customers by appointing a new bed bouncing director.
Natalie Thomas will responsible for assessing how comfortable the hotel chain's 46,000 beds are every six months after demonstrating great attention to detail.
The 39-year-old is able to detect even the smallest lump or bump in a mattress, standing her in good stead for her new role.
"I work with an excellent team of 'bouncers' and we work together to bounce on every part of the bed, before testing how comfortable it is to lie and sleep on," Ms Thomas revealed.
As the director of bed bouncing, the new recruit will travel thousands of miles every year to visit each of the 602 Premier Inns.
Since being appointed at the start of the month, Ms Thomas and her team have tested 7,200 mattresses and plan to complete the remainder by the end of February 2012.
