Jurys Inn seeks to promote bedtime reading
22/09/2011
Dozing off in bed at Jurys Inn hotels may soon be about to get much easier, as the chain launches its e-book reader loan service.
City centre hotels all over the UK will be offering e-readers to their guests, which are pre-loaded with a set of short stories that are ideal to read at bedtime.
The idea is to give people the opportunity to read before they head to bed without having to feel under pressure to read a whole book during the stay.
"We also find many of our guests travel light because they are often here for a short stay, which is why our new service, 'e-Books at Bedtime' offers a hassle-free way to unwind," added John Brennan, the chief executive officer of the hotel group.
Books included on the 2011 collection of readers include those by David Rose, Bernie McGill and Hilary Mantel.
