Children''s beds need to grow as they do

Children''s beds need to grow as they do Decorating the area around children's beds can be quite a task, especially when youngsters grow up so quickly.

Knowing which colour to choose and children's bed to buy can be tough, acknowledged Christina Vercelletto, senior editor of Parenting magazine.

"It really comes down to picking and choosing what's going to make the biggest impact for the least amount of money," she explained to yourhome.ca.

Ms Vercelletto advised against creating a custom painted mural, as this will have a limited lifespan and will prove heart-breaking to erase once the child wants something different.

Parents also need to be aware of what colours they choose, as it can often be tempting to use too many different shades, therefore making the space seem cluttered.

The expert recommended choosing a couple of complementary hues, as toys and other items within the room will add splashes of colour where they are needed.
