Striking flooring set to make an appearance in homes

Homeowners are likely to start installing more interesting flooring materials in the area under their beds over the coming months, one expert has predicted.
There has been a shift towards colour in the home, explained Adrienne Chinn, design director at adriennechinn.co.uk, which can be seen through flooring choices.
Ms Chinn continued: "Think painted concrete tiles from Morocco, and decorative tiles from Spain, and wall-to-wall carpets and area rugs, where I see strong geometric patterns starting to appear."
She noted that having a strong floor "really grounds a room", but people need to make sure they stick to just two or three colours to avoid making the space feel cluttered.
It was recently suggested by interior designer Susan Llewellyn that more people will be resorting to design styles with a sense of familiarity in the near future.
She indicated that with so much uncertainty in the world, homeowners like to stick to what they know.
