BSC hopes to eliminate zombie brides
13/07/2011
With the wedding season in full swing, the Better Sleep Council (BSC) is calling on all brides-to-be not to deprive themselves of some quality time on their mattress.
It warns that at this time of the year, many women about to walk down the aisle are busying themselves with tasks so much that they forget to sleep.
This can lead to weight gain, bags under the eyes and becoming distracted - all traits that brides are no doubt keen to keep at bay.
During stressful periods, the best antidote is going to bed and having a great night's rest, the organisation emphasised.
Karin Mahoney, BSC's director of communications, said: "Sleep deprivation can make everything feel overwhelming and will alter a bride's mood on her big day.
"It can turn a bride into a zombie bride and make the day much more stressful for everyone involved."
