Snoratoria give couples much needed rest

Snoratoria give couples much needed rest Many celebrity couples are installing snoratoria in their homes in order to improve their chances of a great night's sleep.

Among those believed to have made the investment in the sound-proof rooms are Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, who, according to the Daily Mail, have converted their spare bedroom.

The spaces are both padded and atmospherically-controlled in order to reduce the effects of snoring, giving a partner or spouse some much needed shut-eye.

Hollywood estate agent Pierre Stooss explained to the paper that the rooms are becoming more common and often include a double bed.

"Sometimes it just starts off as a temporary measure, but then word spreads and now everyone with the space wants one," Mr Stooss added.

Figures from the Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association show that snoring affects 30 million people throughout the UK and is more common in men than women.
