Personalisation takes precedence for home decor

Making homes more personal is becoming common as people hope to express their individuality, one expert has noted.
On the whole, people have realised they are going to be spending longer in their properties, rather than selling them on for a profit, revealed Alison Cork, interior designer and founder of ProblemSolved.co.uk.
She pointed out that people are surrounding their bed with colour and using mementos to really give off a sense of personality.
"We see a lot of trends towards ethnic detail and slightly more quirky trends that we haven't seen before and that's all of a result of peoples' individual interest," added Ms Cork.
Earlier this week, budget hotel chain Travelodge explained that people need to kit-out their bedrooms with the right products now temperatures are starting to rise.
For example, it recommended getting rid of heavy duvet covers in favour of a cotton sheet.
