Keep bedroom flooring attractive but comfortable

Choosing the right flooring option to go under a bed is all about attractiveness and comfort, as it can have a real impact on the rest of the room.
For example, ceramic tiles may be the best option in warmer climes, but are unlikely to be comfortable under-foot during cold winters in the UK.
Homeowners therefore need to consider a surface that will feel pleasant all year long, so wood, laminate and carpet often prove popular choices.
Many people opt for the covering that will require the least maintenance, which is possibly why carpet remains enduringly popular.
TV interior designer Linda Barker recently highlighted that adding a rug to a room is a great way of injecting a new lease of life, especially if it is strategically placed.
She recommended placing it under an existing item of furniture, such as a coffee table, in order to create the maximum impact.
