Don''t skimp on mattress quality
25/05/2011
There are some purchases that people should not try to cut costs with - and a mattress is one of them.
Considering how many hours are spent sleeping on a mattress during its lifetime, people cannot afford to settle for second-best, or something that does not perfectly suit their needs.
Experts tend to suggest that they should be replaced every ten years, although are also keen to point out that there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all, as some will need changing much sooner.
Cheap mattresses can lead to all sorts of difficulties, including back pain and sleeplessness, which can both make it hard to function properly during the day.
David Schaefer, owner and president of Urban Essentials, recently said that a mattress is the most important design choice anyone can make in the bedroom.
Speaking to Clarendon Patch, he explained that getting a great night's sleep is important for everyone.
