Princess Anne sheds light on royal bedtime rituals

What goes on behind the doors of Buckingham Palace is often something of a mystery, but Princess Anne has given a brief insight through a new documentary to be aired about her father.
Prince Philip at 90 will be shown over the coming days ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh's birthday, with his daughter praising him for being such good fun when she was younger.
"Bedtime stories are things that children probably don't get so much nowadays but were very important in my day," she revealed.
Princess Anne also said that her father made every effort to be at the side of her bed as often as possible, much in the same way any other young child would expect.
Prince Philip is currently accompanying Queen Elizabeth II on an historic tour of the Republic of Ireland, during which they have visited sites such as the Irish National Stud horse breeding centre and Croke Park Stadium.
