Bedroom disorganisation should be avoided

Opting for over-the-top bedroom decor should largely be avoided, as should excessive clutter, as this will make the space difficult to sleep in.
This is according to TV design favourites Colin and Justin, who explain that the bed should be a sanctuary that people can retreat to at the end of a hectic day.
They advocated storage as a way of keeping items out of the way, as well as simple, relaxing colours on walls and furnishings to help people doze off.
Colin and Justin recommended in the Vancouver Sun that duck egg blue is a great colour in the bedroom and can really be brought to life with white accents.
Marian Byrne, national sales and marketing manager for UK Blinds, recently revealed that neutral colours are popular at the moment, while stripes are a favourite pattern.
She named black, cream and beige as the three major colour trends at present.
