Starting with paint ''a mistake'' for bedroom decor
10/05/2011
Homeowners seeking to redecorate the area surrounding their beds need to make sure they do not focus too heavily on paint colours, one design expert has noted.
It is all too easy to get hold of various samples, only to end up more confused about which will suit the bedroom walls best, claims award-winning interior decorator Laura Stein.
Instead, it may be beneficial to choose some decorative pillows and select colours from them, she told yourhome.ca, as this will help make sure all elements of the room tie-in together.
Ms Stein, who owns Laura Stein Interiors, highlights that the best tip is to choose a colour that appears least in the fabric and use it as an accent on the wall.
It was recently suggested by Adrienne Chinn, design director of Adrienne Chinn Design, that an increasing number of property owners are seeking to make improvements to their homes.
