Carefully selecting the right music can be really effective in helping kids to wind down in the evening.
Getting youngsters into their children's beds can prove a difficult task for some parents, so they need to employ all the tactics they can to make it seem more appealing.
Calming music is often employed by stores to influence the mood of shoppers and can be equally as effective with kids.
Some children will realise when it is time for bed if they have a special evening routine, such as getting in the bath before hitting the sack.
This could create problems for adults, as kids may kick up a fuss when it comes to getting out of the bath and being ready for bed.
There are certain foods that are believed to make it easier to doze off, with cherries and walnuts recommended by experts for their high levels of the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin.
