Support, comfort key concerns when buying a mattress
20/04/2011
Selecting the right mattress can be a task, especially when there are so many different versions on the market.
However, by considering the support offered by the mattress and its overall comfort, consumers will no doubt find the model that is best for their needs.
The neck, head, shoulders, hips and lower back all need adequate support when a person goes to bed, so it is worth lying down on a mattress in-store to see just how effective it is.
A mattress that is too hard or too soft will not do the job, so it is essential to find one that is just right.
Once the correct level support has been established, comfort will follow; advancements in material technology have made sure that products are as cosy as possible.
The Better Sleep Council and the International Sleep Products Association recently revealed that old, worn mattresses are one of the main reasons people wake up with aches and pains.
