Now the winter has finally subsided, there is no better opportunity to inject some colour into the home.
Spring is the perfect time to appeal to the senses, which need to be taken into account when undertaking any interior decorating project.
Ditching darkly coloured bedroom items in favour of some bright accents will work wonders, which may include new bed linen and cushions.
Adding some freshly cut flowers to the home is recommended, as this will create a pleasant scent and ensure people's moods are lifted as they walk through the property.
TV presenter and interior designer Linda Barker recently explained that people need to take a balanced approach when it comes to renovating their homes, as there can be the temptation to go overboard.
She highlighted that people are trying to become more eclectic in their homes, with more individually crafted items being purchased.
