Blue can help calm senses in the bedroom

Adorning bedroom walls with soothing blue paint can prove effective when it comes to dozing off in bed at night.
It will help calm the senses, while also presenting a feeling of class, especially if paired with rich brown bedroom furniture, said author of Mystery of Colour Rosemary Sadez Friedmann.
However, the shade of blue is important, she told the Seattle Times, as cobalt can often be overwhelming if used in large quantities.
Using it on just one wall can prove effective, especially if paired with other complementary colours and items of furniture that will also tie in well.
Kayleigh Hollobone, customer adviser at Wallpaper.co.uk, recently said that people are now seeking to match items in their home decor, rather than opting for colour co-ordination.
She also recognised the popularity of feature walls, mainly because they help inject some colour into a bedroom or other space.
