Matching takes precedence for bedroom decor

Opting for bed linen that matches walls and other elements of the bedroom is becoming increasingly popular among homeowners, a design expert has said.
Whereas coordination used to take priority, matching is now the design fad of the moment, noted Kayleigh Hollobone, customer adviser at Wallpaper.co.uk.
She continued: "Bold colours, especially with feature walls, are getting increasingly popular; people are just wanting to do one wall, so they're really going for it with colour."
Ms Hollobone suggested that in the bedroom, people are opting to surround their beds with metallic and black shades, meaning they are generally more adventurous than elsewhere in the property.
Interior designer Mikael Berryman recently told the Independent that a key consideration in any bedroom is storage, as this will help reduce clutter and free-up space.
He also urged people to be ruthless with throwing items out if they have too much clutter to contend with.
