Choosing a new bed was high up on the agenda for one 12-year-old after being declared free of cancer.
Zoe Earl underwent considerable amounts of treatment for the disease, but was finally given the all-clear from doctors before heading off to the bed store in Michigan.
The treat was arranged by the Make-A-Wish foundation, the Detroit News revealed, much to the delight of the child.
"It's nice to be away from little sisters, little brother. It's a place to hang out," she told the news resource.
Zoe selected a bed, two night stands, a chest of drawers and a desk and chair for her new bedroom, revealing that she chose this particular area to redecorate because it is her favourite.
Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber recently revealed in an interview with the Sun that he did not have a bed as he was growing up in Canada.
