Elbow''s bed rest plagued by nightmares
04/03/2011
Elbow frontman Guy Garvey is finding it difficult to get restful sleep on his mattress at night, in spite of his band's success at the Brits and Mercury awards.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Garvey admitted that the entire band is plagued with nightmares, days ahead of the launch of their new album.
He told the newspaper. "I have very interesting sleep patterns before an album comes out on account of anxiety dreams."
"I had one recently where my friend had posted all my lyrics online … People were giving me horrendous criticism, real damning stuff."
The bed-time horrors don't stop at Garvey: drummer Richard Jupp is reportedly troubled by visions of playing an impossibly huge piano while in bed at night.
Elbow's new album, Build a Rocket Boys! will be released on Monday (March 7th) and will hopefully be followed by some better nights of sleep for the band.
