Radio 1 DJ to forgo sleep for charity
01/03/2011
Red Nose Day is often a chance for celebrities to try their hand at something different and it seems that this year will be no different.
Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles will be depriving himself of time on his mattress in favour of hosting a 37-hour radio show in a bid to break the current world record held by Simon Mayo.
The feat will start at 06:30 GMT on March 16th, with each of the usual DJs turning up as a guest during their respective slots.
For each hour Moyles and his wingman Comedy Dave are on air, they will be able to earn a five-minute rest, which they can either take at the time, or opt to store up to have a nap later.
Other feats for this year's Comic Relief so far have included a celebrity trek across the Kenyan Desert and a tightrope walk between the chimneys of Battersea Power Station.
