Specific bed recommendations ''simply not possible''
01/03/2011
It is difficult to make a specific bed recommendation to a customer, mainly because everyone's preferences are so different.
In addition to this, there are so many beds and mattresses available that people need to make the decision themselves, the Sleep Council revealed.
"All we can do is give people an overview of the different types of bed available and tips on how to go about the process of choosing the right bed for them," commented Sleep Council spokesperson Jessica Alexander.
She highlighted that consumers should take the Goldilocks approach, meaning they need to opt for something that is neither too hard nor too soft in order to sleep soundly.
As a result, the buyer will find something they will be able to sleep on without too much effort.
The Sleep Council has named March 2011 as National Bed Month, during which it hopes to educate customers on which is the best bed and mattress for their individual requirements.
