Ask yourself questions when buying a mattress

Homeowners hoping to purchase a new mattress need to ask themselves a number of questions before they part with any cash, an expert has suggested.
The first area for consideration is whether or not a new mattress is needed, explained Dr Robert Hayden, spokesperson for the American Chiropractic Association.
One of the main indications is whether or not it is starting to sag in the middle, he told AOL, which may be resolved by flipping it once every three months.
A good bed should support the spine in the same way as when a person is standing, so anything either too firm or too soft needs to be avoided, Dr Hayden continued.
"Mattresses are like gloves, they really have to fit you," he emphasised, adding that memory foam mattresses are particularly good for people of all shapes and sizes.
An article for the Washington Blade recently said that a mattress should be considered as one of life's biggest purchases.
