Once homeowners have found their perfect bed, the quest for comfort should not end there, one organisation has said.
The quality of a pillow is just as crucial, the New Zealand Chiropractors' Association said, as it helps make sure the body is in the right position during periods of rest.
Dr Hayden Thomas, chiropractor and spokesman for the body, said that too many people focus solely on their bed, rather than thinking about supporting their head.
"If the neck is not supported properly when sleeping it can cause a whole range of problems from neck pain to upper and lower back discomfort, headaches, shoulder and arm pain and restlessness," the expert continued.
Advice from wcfcourier.com recently suggested that people need to put in plenty of research when it comes to buying a new mattress, as it should be viewed in the same way as any other big purchase.
