Mattress choice should be all about comfort

The main consideration when buying a new mattress should ultimately be how comfortable it is, a website has pointed out.
With around a third of people's lives spent in bed, there is little point in purchasing anything that is not conducive to great sleep, timestranscript.com revealed.
"Probably the easiest place to start is to decide on whether you like soft, firm or in between," explained Marc Maillet from Lounsbury Furniture.
He emphasised that opting for a brand name mattress is one of the best ways consumers can be sure that they are getting a quality product that will stand the test of time.
Earlier this month, Furniture Today revealed that mattress sales are likely to remain buoyant for the next few months, carrying on the successful year seen in 2010.
It also indicated that bed accessories such as pillows and mattress protectors are also popular with consumers at the moment.
