Ken and Deidre to shed light on bed talk
17/02/2011
To mark their 30th wedding anniversary, two of Coronation Street's characters are starring in their own online spin-off show that reveals what they talk about after going to bed.
Ken and Deirdre's Bedtime Stories will air three times a week, with each of the ten-minute programmes seeing the couple chatting about the days' goings-on.
Actor William Roache said: "Each episode has been carefully crafted and injected with humour, warmth and drama - the content takes Coronation Street into new and exciting territory."
Each new instalment will be released on a Monday, with the programmes penned by Corrie scriptwriter Jonathan Harvey.
Last year saw the Street celebrate its 50th anniversary with an epic tram crash, which killed two popular characters Ashley Peacock and Molly Dobbs.
However, despite the cast's best efforts, Coronation Street lost out to EastEnders in the best soap category at the National Television Awards.
