Separate mattresses could bring couples closer

Opting to use separate mattresses is sometimes what couples need for a great night's sleep, an article for the Canadian Press has suggested.
It explained that the mattresses can be placed side by side, with each person then able to choose their own firmness and other features they feel most comfortable with.
However, psychotherapist Tina B Tessina explained that a relationship must be strong in order for this to be a success.
"Sleeping apart can contribute to the disconnection that plagues many relationships. It just makes it easier to avoid each other, when what's really needed is connection and contact," she noted.
Spokesperson for the Sleep Council Jan Turner recently explained that people who are afraid their bed is starting to sag or become uncomfortable should not be afraid of replacing it.
One of the first signs is when it starts to sag in the middle, Ms Turner pointed out.
