February blues should be tackled head-on

Staying in bed to read a book or watch DVDs is no doubt more preferable than facing February head-on, one article has said.
According to the Daily Telegraph's Judith Woods, humans are very much like animals at this time of year as they want to bed down until the weather improves outside.
Stafford Whiteaker editor of the Good Retreat Guide, described people as being like daffodil bulbs, waiting to bloom again "when the time comes".
"People instinctively strive for a sense of renewal that comes when you withdraw from the hectic pace of everyday life, slow down and meditate," he added.
A piece for the Global Saskatoon recently said that people need to make sure they wind down after a hectic day in order to create the right conditions for sleeping in.
Having a hot bath and avoiding caffeine and alcohol can all have a positive impact, the article explained.
