Hotel style ''emulated at home''

Hotel bedrooms are acting as inspiration for homeowners who want to create a sanctuary in their own home, the Daily Telegraph has emphasised.
In many cases, a bed is a fashion focal point of the space, whereas it used to be a dressing table or other piece of furniture, said Brian Lawrence, a member of the British Institute of Interior Design.
Technology is also taking a more prominent role in the bedroom, with people keen to use their laptop in bed or even watch TV in comfort, the article noted.
Interior designer Katharine Pooley commented: "As our lives get increasingly busy, the need for escapism and total relaxation becomes more and more important."
A recent poll from PC World discovered that an average of two hours is spent before going to sleep using electronic equipment such as computers.
The findings, seen by the Press Association, showed that playing computer games and surfing the internet are among the top pursuits.
