Don''t tackle the most depressing day from bed
11/01/2011
Spending the whole of January feeling down in bed is not an option, Scotland on Sunday has emphasised.
January 24th, otherwise known as Blue Monday, is just around the corner, with many no doubt tempted to cower away and avoid facing the day head on.
Taking in the right foods is one of the best ways to achieve this, the article said, as this can help an individual feel spritely when they get out of bed in the morning.
Patrick Holford, author of the Feel Good Factor, said: "Modern Man is the Knackered Ape, with huge numbers of visits to GPs being about low mood and chronic fatigue."
He highlighted that people need to go in search of foods that will improve their mood and generally make them feel more alert during the day, such as those rich in omega 3 and vitamin D.
The Daily Comet recently advised that people eat almonds, bananas and oatmeal before getting into bed to improve sleep.
