Finding the right mattress ''no easy task''
07/01/2011
Going in search of the right mattress can often be a difficult task, Furniture Today has suggested.
A recent Sleep Summit found that having the correct mattress has more of an impact on the quality of sleep people get than they may realise.
"After analysing 128 healthy, pain-free adults, we discovered that there is a statistically significant correlation between how mattress support affects sleep quality, pain and daytime function," explained Dr. Andrew Krystal, director of the Insomnia and Sleep Research Programme.
He highlighted that many people are not able to select the right mattress for their resting needs, with many taking a one size fits all approach to purchasing.
This follows an article for voxy.co.nz, which suggested that people should resolve to improve their bed hygiene in the New Year, as this is something that often goes neglected.
It often goes unnoticed just how much people perspire at night, the piece emphasised.
