Homeowners hoping to be right on trend with their double beds need to think about adopting shimmer and shine this season, design expert Karl Lohnes has said.
In a piece for Metro Canada, he explained that there are plenty of glittering trends to keep an eye out for over the coming months.
For example, glossy furnishings are a must in the bedroom, as they help to reflect light and make the space appear bigger than it is.
The expert also recommended that sequins and beads are high up on the design agenda at the moment, with plenty of retailers offering products that would look great in the bedroom.
Recent research from CBC News and Leger Marketing found that many people in Canada are deprived of sleep, which may have an impact on how they perform at work.
They found that 60 per cent of individuals are not able to function well as a result of sleep deprivation.
