Beds ''must be stylish'' this winter
16/12/2010
Beds should be transformed into a stylish sanctuary throughout the winter months, design experts have recommended.
With snow and ice outside, there is no substitute to being able to snuggle up under some extra warm bedding, the Aberdeen Press and Journal suggested.
There is something satisfying about a faux fur throw or pure cotton at this time of year, it explained, with homeowners feeling like pampered princesses and princes.
Designer Joanna Wood told the paper: "We spend so much time in it, and it should be a place to relax and recharge as well as to sleep. Layering is the key to success."
She added that more people appear to be in search of sumptuous textures and plump cushions to add a sense of luxury to their bedrooms.
Choosing the right bedding was recently highlighted as an important element of having people to stay over the Christmas period by azcentral.com.
