Be mindful of bed bugs this Christmas

With many people likely to be staying in hotels over the festive season, it is essential they keep an eye out for bed bugs lingering in their mattresses, one cleaning company has said.
The creatures have grabbed headlines over recent months, so people need to be on their guard as they stay in unfamiliar territory, emphasised The Maids.
It said they can attach themselves to bed linen, clothing and even bedroom furniture, making them difficult to eradicate.
"Keep in mind that the presence of bed bugs is not a condition of an unsanitary environment; bed bugs are carried from homes to hotel rooms and back by people," the firm highlighted.
The Maids added that travellers should inspect the bed sheets and mattress for bugs, while also keeping luggage off the floor to avoid attracting the creatures.
It was recently said by the Stir blog that bunk beds are a great way of freeing up space in the bedroom as they create more room on the floor.
