Dress the bed ''to add life to a bedroom''
03/09/2010
Investing in a new duvet cover is a great way of adding a splash of colour to a student bedroom, it has been suggested.
The Acorn, a newspaper distributed at Drew University, acknowledged that dorms can often seem unappealing at first glance.
However, it urged freshers not to despair, as there are a number of ways they can add a lease of life, such as by getting hold of some fresh bedding.
It continued: "If you ever get bored with your current aesthetic, changing a duvet cover can completely transform a room. Throw pillows are another incredibly good investment."
They add both personality and colour to a room, which is important for any new student, the article added.
A piece in the Edmonton Journal recently highlighted that studying in the bedroom is often not a good idea, mainly because it should be reserved for relaxation.
