A bed is one of the most important purchases that anyone will make for their home, according to bed and sleep specialist Warren Evans.
He advises people planning out their bedroom not to "scrimp" on buying a bed and advised investing in a good quality and sustainable version.
Mr Warren was giving a few tips on how to make the most of a bedroom space.
He suggested matching furniture to help make the room look more spacious.
"To create a coherent room design, I would advise that the style and decor of the furniture all complement each other - otherwise it can create a busy and cluttered look, minimising the space that you have," Mr Warren explained.
He added: "This year we''re seeing a resurgence in using natural, environmentally-friendly materials in the bedroom."
The comments chime with a 4Homes blog post that claimed the hot trends for 2010 are folk style, big blooms and natural materials.
