Coventry kids design their ideal bedroom
23/07/2010
Hundreds of Coventry schoolchildren have been thinking about the best place to put a bed in their designs for an ideal bedroom.
Pupils submitted their ideas as part of the Coventry Fostering Service''s Design-a-Bedroom competition.
Coventry City Council received over 500 entries for the competition from Year 4 and 5 children.
The overall winners were Stivichall Primary School Year 4 pupil Rhoanna Groves and St Christopher Primary School Year 5 pupil Yash Joshi, reports the Coventry Telegraph.
Recently, interior designer Adrienne Chinn offered some advice to parents and other homeowners intending on refurbishing a bedroom.
She suggested that quite fresh colours, such as apple green and turquoise, are a great way of bringing a room to life.
Ms Chinn also noted that a lick of paint is one of the best ways to update a room, as it is relatively cheap and can enable a change to be realised very quickly.
