Selecting the correct comforter or bed spread is key to determining the colour tones that need to be used in a bedroom redecoration, it has been claimed.
The bedroom is one of the easiest rooms to redecorate in any home, according to the Reading Eagle''s Decorating Diary.
However, homeowners are advised to adhere to some simple rules in order to make sure they get the most out of their redecoration.
In an article on the website, Joanie Freidman urged homeowners to select a bed spread that is either dark in colour or one of their favourites.
She added: "Because there is such a huge selection, the paint color is the last to pick.
"Assuming your bed coverings and your carpet have been chosen, choose a color from the comforter for your walls."
Earlier this week in a post on the Interior Design blog, interior designer Thomas Jayne suggested that the annual spring clean presents a good opportunity to rearrange or redecorate a room.
