Clean bedrooms ''always look good''

A bedroom that is clean and in good repair is likely to look good whatever style it is in, it has been suggested.
In a post on the Interior Design blog, classical interior designer Thomas Jayne explained that a room in any style looks better if it is well kept.
He added that he prefers taking an old fashioned approach to cleaning, "removing everything from a room once a year, cleaning it, repairing the paint, then going over everything that is returned to the room".
Mr Jayne also noted that it can be easier to see how beds or other furniture can be rearranged in a well-cleaned room, than in one that is cluttered.
Earlier this month, HomeSense decor specialist Colleen Uncao told the Winnipeg Free Press that bedrooms should draw their inspiration from nature, such as by using floral patterns to decorate pillows.
