Price ''should come second to comfort'' when buying mattresses
13/07/2010
Comfort should be the first thing people look at when selecting a new mattress, it has been claimed.
Too many mattress buyers focus on price, Buffalo News suggested, which should not be the case when shopping for a place to sleep.
President of City Mattress Jack Kaminska commented: "It''s no different than any other product - appliances, electronics, sporting goods.
"As you pay more, there are a lot of bells and whistles that add benefits. It all depends on how much you want to invest."
Mattresses are very subjective purchases, the article noted, so once a person has found one they like there is little reason for them to spend anything more.
One of the main points of difference between mattresses will be the padding on top, which will determine the level of comfort, the piece added.
An article for lonad.com recently said that mattresses need to be suited to individual needs in order to provide ultimate support and comfort.
