Sleepless nights make July the grumpiest month

July is often the grumpiest month for Brits, as they struggle to sleep during the hot summer nights, a new poll has suggested.
Conducted by Travelodge, the study found that 78 per cent of people are more agitated at this time of year than any other.
Leigh McCarron, Travelodge sleep director, commented: "The lack of sleep makes us irritable, that combined with soaring temperatures in the day make many of us quite tense.
"We like the heat - but it takes us time to get used to it."
Many people also find it difficult travelling in warm conditions, the survey revealed, with 27 per cent saying they would shout at a child or partner while on the go.
This follows recent research from Missouri State University''s Center for Biomedical & Life Sciences, which found that a lack of sleep can either trigger or make existing migraine problems worse.
