They may be noisy, overbearing and unnecessary, but the England team are people like anyone else and don''t deserve to have their bed rest interrupted by vuvuzelas, according to manager Fabio Capello.
The England manager has reportedly felt the need to step in to ask the Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town, where the team is staying, to stop giving away the horns as gifts in the hotel bar.
Capello feared that the din created by the trumpets could cost the team valuable hours of kip on their mattresses last night (June 17th), ahead of today''s big face-off against Algeria.
"England are our VIP guests and we will be making them as comfortable as possible during their stay," said a Vineyard Hotel spokesman.
"They will not be disturbed by vuvuzelas here - they are not being allowed in the hotel."
Following today''s match against Algeria, England is set to face Slovenia on June 23rd.
